What does the program involve?​


This course is made up of 6 parts, that can be done in your own time or over 6 weeks.

About Aisling

    Hello, my name is Aisling, and I am a fully qualified Somatic therapist, Yoga teacher, and DTR Holistic Wellness facilitator. I hold a wealth of trainings spanning more than 15 years, including an M.A in Movement Research and currently a PhD in Psychology and Leadership.
​

      I have worked with hundreds of people both in Ireland and internationally and I love seeing how this work can transform lives. It is my passion to empower people in their wellness and  their journey of self-discovery. As we learn more about the workings of our inner nature, I see time and again how suffering can be reduced, and our lives can be supported to thrive.

     As the Ancient Greek oracle at Delphi advises us, " Know thyself".  Knowing how to skilfully navigate ourselves- our physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels- can transform our health , vitality, relationships, and work experience. It is an invaluable gift that I'd just love to share with you.

I already have too much going on in life, will this program feel like one more thing to do?


This course is intended to be easy and enjoyable.  All you need to do is find a quiet place and click " play". I've deliberately kept information to a minimum so that you don't get overwhelmed. You can also ignore any of the " info" parts that you want to!

​Can I pick and choose which ones I want to do, or do I need to follow the weekly structure?

The beauty of this course is that you can join anytime and follow your own flow. I'll teach you how to get feedback from your body as to what you need and how to bring balance. You can then either follow the weekly format, or select whichever practice suits your needs and your timings.
 

I've never practised Yoga or meditation or reflections before, is this program still suited to me?

​I work with all levels of students/ clients, and this course is designed to be for all abilities. The focus is on rest and restoring, and therefore is very gentle and nurturing. A lot of the movement sessions are done from lying down, and I'll always encourage you to go at your own pace. I'm an experienced Yoga and meditator, don't I know this already?

The approach that I've created is unique. As a Somatic therapist, the kind of movement that I teach is organic, something that is different from most yoga classes today ( click HERE to learn more) . Exploring your psychological process is also unique to this course. Every time we tune in, we can learn about ourselves to a new level, so that every practice can feel fresh and alive.


What if stuff comes up for me that I don't want to look at?

This course goes gently, and at your pace. You are never pressurised to go deeper than you want to. Think of it as a dipping your toes in, rather than a full immersion. That way, you can get a taste of the benefits of working holistically, and in a way that feels appropriate to you. This course guides you in how to regulate overwhelming feelings, so you'll be given tools and supports along the way.


What if I have a chronic condition, such as fibromyalgia, depression, a heart condition, back pain, can I still do this course?

The approach in this course is a Somatic one, which emphasises feeling into your "soma" or body-mind-energy system. This empowers you to then go at your pace, and give yourself what you need. This course does not promise to be a cure for chronic conditions, but it may bring some relief. The mantra is, go at your pace, do what feels right , and leave out the rest. 

Are the sessions live or pre-recorded?

The sessions are all pre-recorded, meaning that you can have access to them for life. I will check in each week on the facebook page and answer as many questions as I can there. You are also welcome to email me directly, should you have queries. If it's a simple enough question I can respond by email, though for more complex questions I'll recommend booking a live session either with myself or your own/ another therapist. 

I can't afford the full price, are there any scholarships?

I will try to make this course available to everyone, so please contact me if you need to apply for a scholarship. 


I'd love to do this program as a weekend retreat for myself and my partner or friends, as a Christmas gift. Is it possible to do the course in this way?

Absolutely! The beauty of this course is that you can either follow the 6 week flow, or design it in your own time frame. Following the course over a weekend would be a wonderful way to renew your health and vitality over the winter period.
